In July, many of our young musicians joined us at Far Heath Recording Studio in the idyllic Northamptonshire countryside for a day of studio recording and filming, as we started the process of creating a series of short music videos ahead of our 20th Anniversary campaign.
The day provided a new experience for many of the musicians taking part, getting their first taste of studio recording and playing to a click track.
One parent told us: "M had a fantastic, grown-up experience yesterday at Far Heath… she felt she saw another, completely different aspect of music and had a taste of a musician’s life, which was super fun and exciting for her. Thank you for bringing them a brilliant and very different musical day.”
One of the musicians said: “I loved recording Amy Winehouse at the countryside recording studios in Northamptonshire… an amazing experience that really has made me enjoy my music playing and meeting others. Thank you so much.”
The video campaign will feature four arrangements created by our young musicians, featuring music by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Amy Winehouse and Lin Manuel Miranda, performed on a range of instruments.
